Our promise

The Hobby tier is free for personal sites, forever — not a trial, and no credit card required. We'll never paywall a site you've already set up out from under you. No rug-pulls.

EchoThread is designed around EU consent standards and avoids the third-party cookies that major browsers increasingly restrict — so the same plan works for hobby blogs and EU-regulated publishers.

1

Start here

Hobby is for proving fit

Use it for one personal site, a side project, or a private beta before you have real comment volume.

2

First paid step

Starter is for live growth

Pick Starter when your blog, docs, or changelog has repeat readers and you want more sites and traffic headroom.

3

Scale up

Pro and Business are for teams

Move up when you need more sites, a higher page-view limit, or unlimited comment volume. Enterprise is only about contracts and procurement — Business already has no ceilings.

Not sure how many page views you get?

One page view = one load of a page with the widget on it.

Under 10,000
A personal blog, portfolio, or side project.
10,000 – 100,000
Documentation, a changelog, or a blog posting weekly to a regular audience.
Above 100,000
A daily publication, a busy forum, or several properties at once.

Rough guides, not rules. If you use analytics, the closest figure is its monthly pageviews for the pages that carry the widget — and guessing low is safe, because these limits are soft. Your billing page shows the real number once you have signed up.

Compare every feature

Every plan includes every feature — including the free one. Paying moves the limits and removes our footer; it does not unlock the product.

Page-view and comment limits are soft — we email you before anything breaks. The site count is a hard cap; upgrade to add more sites.

Pricing questions

What happens if I exceed my limits?
For page views and monthly comments, comments keep working — we email you at 90% of your tier limit, and again if you go over, and nothing is hidden or deleted in the meantime. You can see exactly where each of your sites stands on your billing page at any time. The site count, however, is a hard cap: if you try to create more sites than your plan allows you will be asked to upgrade first.
Business is already unlimited. What is Enterprise for?
How you buy, not what you get. Business has unlimited sites, page views and comments, so Enterprise adds no capacity — it exists for custom contracts and payment terms, procurement and security review, account-level onboarding, and negotiated support terms. If none of those apply to you, Business is the top of the ladder.
How do I know how many page views I have?
We count one page view each time a page with the widget on it loads. If you use analytics, the closest match is monthly pageviews for the pages that carry comments. If you are guessing, guess low: page-view and comment limits are soft, so passing one emails you instead of switching anything off, and you can move up at any time. Once you have signed up, your billing page shows the real figure for every site, updated as you go.
Can I downgrade?
Yes, anytime. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. If your usage exceeds the new tier's limits, we'll email you with options before anything breaks.
Do you charge for spam-filtered comments?
No. Comments our spam filter catches never count toward your monthly comment limit — you're only metered on comments that clear the filter.
Are reply email notifications free?
Yes. Reply email notifications are included on Hobby because they help commenters return to the discussion. Paid plans are for more sites, more usage headroom, brand removal, and team or support needs.
Refund policy?
Cancel any time from the Stripe billing portal. If you need a refund on an unused portion of the current month or year, email us and we will review it promptly.
I joined before launch. Does my free Hobby plan change?
No. Early adopters who joined before launch keep the Hobby tier free for life on every site they had at launch — even if Hobby limits change later. New sites added after launch follow current pricing.
Why no annual-only plans?
Annual is a discount, not a requirement. Indie buyers shouldn't have to commit a year up-front to get fair pricing. Pick what works.
